Vietnamese Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang will deliver a keynote speech on Vietnam's defense and security policy and Vietnam's dialogue commitments to cooperation and development for a peaceful, stable and prosperous Asia-Pacific region. Vietnam's participation in the 22nd Shangri-La Dialogue affirms the country’s proactive, positive, and responsible role in addressing regional and global issues. On the sidelines of the dialogue, Minister Giang will also have bilateral meetings with defense leaders of several countries to discuss measures to ramp up defense relations.
Organised by the Singapore’s Ministry of Defense and the London-based International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), this year’s forum has brought together 40 minister-level delegates and senior officials, business leaders, and security experts from 47 countries. It serves as a critical platform to discuss urgent regional security challenges.
