(VOVworld) – At least 16 people were injured in a Sunday explosion at a shopping mall in Bangkok, where anti-government protestors were gathering.

The attack occurred one day after a gunfire and grenade attack in the eastern province of Trat which killed 2 people and wounded 41. This has been the most serious violence since the wave of protest against Prime Minister Yingluck’s administration began last November. The police and army are investigating the explosion.
