(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese embassy in Argentina and the Argentina - Viet Nam Cultural Institute (ICAV) on Friday jointly held a seminar on promoting bilateral trade in Lanus district, Buenos Aires province. Speaking at the event, which was attended by many Argentinean businesses, Mr Oscar Jofre, Lanus’ Secretary of economic development expressed his hope for the growth of trade and economic exchanges with Vietnam. He noted that Lanus district has high demand for importing electronics products and textiles from Vietnam. He also introduced Lanus' leather products and automobile spare parts.

Commercial Attaché of the Vietnamese Embassy Nguyen Thi Thanh Van introduced Vietnam’s economics situation and investment opportunities and answered questions about investment and import-export in Vietnam. Many leaflets and publications introducing Vietnamese people, culture, sea and islands, and tourism were handed out at the event. A video “Welcome to Vietnam” produced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was also screened at the seminar.
