The event marked the 134th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh celebrated on May 19.

General Secretary of the Italian Communist Party Mauro Alboresi said that Ho Chi Minh’s ideology has become a reference for the entire international communist movement, including that in Italy. Francesco Maringiò, Vice Chairman of the Italy-Vietnam Fund, delivered a speech on President Ho Chi Minh’s decisive foundation for Vietnam’s international integration.

He said that the final line in Ho Chi Minh’s Testament about “making worthy contributions to the world’s revolutionary cause” features Vietnam’s successful international integration process of the past 40 years.

Stefano Bonilauri, Director of Anteo Publishing House, highlighted President Ho Chi Minh’s theoretical contributions to socialism, which offers a unique perspective on the application of socialist principles in Vietnam and the world.

Ugo Papi, Advisor to the Mayor of Rome, a representative of the Italian Democratic Party, said that President Ho Chi Minh’s great contribution to human reconciliation lies in his ideology of peace, which is fairness, independence, and self-determination for the nation.
