Science Film Festival 2017 opens in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) - The 7th Science Film Festival 2017, themed “Anthropocene”, opened on Saturday in Vietnam, one of the 23 countries where the festival is held. 

19 short science films from Thailand, Japan, Germany, the Netherlands and others will be screened during the festival, covering the topics of climate change, the crisis of wild fauna and flora world, and the vulnerability of the ecosystems on the Earth. Hoang Duong is a member of the Science Film Festival’s Organizing Board: “The main theme of this year’s festival is “Anthropocene”, which refers to the fact that for thousands of years humans have impacted and changed nature. The festival is expected to make people more aware of the world and the human and inspire love for science”.

The audience can also take part in games and scientific experiments. The film festival will last until December 7 in 28 cities and provinces across Vietnam.

Organized by the Goethe-Institute and THD Education Solution Ltd., the Science Film Festival is an initiative of the Goethe-Institute which aims to promote science education and creative learning in Vietnam.
