Wong will continue to hold the position of Finance Minister to ensure continuity and stability.

Afterward, Wong outlined a roadmap for Singapore’s development, noting that Singapore's approach to foreign policy is to stick to national interests and act in a way that is consistent and principled.

Singapore currently enjoys a strong reputation within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and promoting relations with ASEAN is one of Singapore's top goals.
