He said this ahead of top security official Ali Shamkhani’s visit to Iraq, his second visit since Saudi Arabia and Iran signed one agreement.

Iran hopes that the future of West Asia and the Gulf region, with its important geopolitical position, abundant energy resources, natural wealth, and abundant financial resources, will bring prosperity to the people of the region.

Mr. Kanaani said that countries in the region need to resolve existing differences and problems for the benefit of all sides through dialogue, mutual respect, and strengthening collective security cooperation, while working together to confront security challenges.
