Speaking to the US network CBS on its 60 Minutes programme, Mohammed bin Salman said he took full responsibility, "since it was committed by individuals working for the Saudi government".
Khashoggi, a US-based Washington Post columnist, was killed inside the Saudi Arabia consulate in Istanbul on October 2, 2018. Early this year, Saudi authorities charged 11 unnamed suspects with Khashoggi's murder. Five could face the death penalty.
