Mr. Peskov told Rossiya 1 TV that "the situation is very bad, both in terms of bilateral relations and the two countries’ responsibility for multilateral affairs, above all the issue of arms control and strategic stability". He said expert level contacts haven’t brought the two countries closer to an understanding that would ensure arms control on a global scale.
