(VOVworld) – The Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday that its Aerospace Forces has conducted air strikes on 10 positions of the Islamic State terrorist group in Syria.

Their forces hit a number of IS positions in Idlib and Raqqa province, Syria, including a terrorist training camp and a factory making belts for suicide bombers. The Ministry issued a statement saying that the air strikes interrupted the IS control mechanism and supply chain and damaged IS infrastructure supporting its terrorist acts.
Syrian President Bashar Al Assad said Russia’s fight against terrorism in Syria is likely to succeed. He underlined that a failure of the coalition between Russia, Syria, Iran, and Iraq will lead to the destruction of the Middle East.
