(VOVworld) – Russia has celebrated its 1st anniversary of Crimea annexation.
A concert in Moscow drew 110,000 attendees. Crimean Prime Minister Sergei Aksyonov thanked Russian authorities and people for helping the peninsula return to the ‘homeland’.
In a brief speech, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated and expressed his gratitude to all Russians for supporting their peers in Crimea and Sevastopol and uniting the nation.
Of Russia-Ukraine relations, Putin said he hopes the current misunderstanding and other issues will soon be resolved.
