Putin told the press that the cause of accident is being investigated and families of the victims will be supported.
Foreign leaders have sent condolences to Russia including UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defense, Armenia’s President, and the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang also sent a message of condolences to the Russian President.
