Oleg Voronov, deputy chief of the crisis management center with the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry, said the aid convoy comprised more than 170 vehicles carrying a total of more than 1,800 tons of humanitarian aid to the people of the conflict-affected cities in Donetsk and Lugansk provinces. 80 percent of the aid included essential foods such as meat, fish, milk, and sugar as well as medicine, and books. This was the 16th aid convoy by Russia’s Emergencies Ministry to Donbass.
Earlier, the EU announced that it would allocate 1.5 million euros to Ukraine’s Dnepropetrovsk region. The funds will be used to repair, restore and furnish 15 facilities in seven cities of the region.
