(VOVworld) – A ceremony to repatriate remains of US soldiers killed during the war in Vietnam was held at the Da Nang International Airport on Sunday. The Vietnamese representatives handed over remains of US soldiers in the 110th joint search from March to April. The remains were examined by the two countries’ experts, who said that they are likely related to US soldiers missing in action in war in Vietnam, and it will be sent to Hawaii, the US, for more examination. Speaking at the ceremony, the US representatives thanked and appreciated the humanitarian policy, goodwill, and effective cooperation of the Vietnamese government and people. The joint search for US personnel missing in action was a humanitarian activity of the Vietnamese and US governments. It has been the 126th repatriation of the remains of US soldiers since 1973.
