Quang Ninh's rich marine resources and natural and cultural heritages, which include famous attractions like Ha Long Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay, and Yen Tu mountain, make it a logical place to host large-scale water and mountain sporting events.

Conference attendees agreed that sports tourism is the way forward for the province, because it can provide major growth potential by helping Quang Ninh diversify its tourism offerings, extend its tourist season, and boost its competitiveness. They suggested that Quang Ninh expand its promotions and build a unique sports tourism brand through an impactful communication strategy.

Nguyen Viet Dung, Director of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said: "Businesspeople and experts attending the event clearly identified each locality's potentials and strengths. They pointed out the need to strengthen connections between localities, businesses, sports event organizers, and related services. We need to develop more tourism offerings, sports packages, and accommodations, invest in infrastructure, improve our human resources, and use technology to promote our products."
