Mr. Dam visited community tourism models in Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park and worked with Quang Binh provincial authorities on sustainable tourism on Sunday. He said: “Community-based tourism does a good job of reducing poverty while requiring less time to train personnel. Self-teaching and short courses can meet the needs of human resources in tourism.”

Quang Binh province will promote its tourism potential to South Korea and plans to open a Dong Hoi-Seoul air route. The province hopes to welcome 4.3 million visitors, including 300,000 foreigners this year.

The province has more than 350 tourist accommodation options, such as hotels, homestays, and farmstays, with a total capacity of around 5,200 rooms. It has a number of famous tourist attractions, such as the world heritage site of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Son Doong cave – the world’s largest cave, and the Én cave – the world’s third largest cave.
