The Consular Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it contacted and sent condolences to the citizen's family last Saturday. Vietnamese and British authorities are coordinating to quickly identify the remaining victims.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Consular Department and the Embassy of Vietnam in the UK have closely followed the case’s developments and worked with the authorities of the two countries to identify the victims, promote investigation, and provide post-mortem support for the victim's family according to their wishes.

Earlier this month, Greater Manchester Police announced the identity of four Vietnamese citizens who have been reported as missing in a blaze which hit Bismark House Mill in Oldham on May 7. Investigation teams have been searching around Bismark House Mill since workers found bodies on July 23.
