A statue of meditating Tran Nhan Tong will be inaugurated on December 3. The bronze statue is 9.9 m high and weighs 130 tons. Superior Monk Thich Thanh Quyet, Head of the Executive Committee of the Quang Ninh Buddhist Shangha, elaborates: “King Tran Nhan Tong moved here to lead a religious life and turned this place into a sacred Buddhist land. So we build a statue of him for all Vietnamese from both in and outside the country to remember his great contributions to national construction and Buddhist development”.
