At a meeting on Saturday to review the city's socio-economic performance and implementation of National Assembly Resolution 98 on piloting specific mechanisms and policies for the city's development, the Prime Minister emphasized the heavy responsibilities and challenges the city faces in the coming period and called for focused discussions to identify solutions that will drive the city's socio-economic development in line with the Government's objectives of stabilizing the macroeconomy, controlling inflation, boosting growth drivers, and maintaining key economic balances.
He urged the city to uphold the “6 pioneer” spirit which aims to make the city a pioneer: first in innovative thinking and comprehensive, inclusive development with people and businesses at the center; second, in digital transformation, smart urban development, green transformation, circular economy, sharing economy, and night economy; third in the development and application of science and technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship; fourth in the development of high value-added service industries, fifth in high-quality human resources development and attracting leading experts in key fields; and sixth in in implementing social policies, ensuring social security, justice, and progress.
The Prime Minister outlined several key solutions and tasks, urging Ho Chi Minh City to demonstrate stronger determination, greater efforts, and more decisive actions.
Regarding specific tasks, the Prime Minister has the city to enhance the efficiency of managing and utilizing public investment capital, accelerate key projects, including the Ring Road 3, An Phu intersection, and the expansion of National Highway 50. He also emphasized the need to bring urban railway line No. 1 into operation by the third quarter of this year and to accelerate the progress of urban railway line No. 2.
