The five-day trip is made at the invitation of UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and French President Emmanuel Macron.
The delegation was welcomed at Cotê d’Azur Airport by representatives from the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Vietnamese Ambassador Dinh Toan Thang, the embassy staff, and representatives from the Vietnamese community in the country.
The same day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the Lascaris Palace Museum (Musée Palais Lascaris), a distinctive cultural landmark that embraces the historical and artistic heritage of southern France.
The Vietnamese Prime Minister expressed deep admiration for the museum’s extraordinary collection of rare, precious ancient musical instruments, considered the finest in France and among the largest in Europe. He said the 500 musical instruments showcased at the museum which connect the past, present, and future, affirmed that culture is an inherent strength that inspires and energizes generations. He emphasized that culture also serves as a colorful thread and a powerful, resonant symbol of the enduring friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and France.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his wife, and the high-level Vietnamese delegation visited Mr. Vo Ba Luan, a Vietnamese expatriate and owner of a Japanese restaurant in the renowned coastal tourist city of Nice in southern France.
During his working trip to France, PM Chinh is set to have bilateral meetings with leaders from participating countries and organizations and bolster collaboration between Vietnam and international partners.
He will conduct talks and meetings with high-ranking French leaders, attend the Vietnam-France Business Forum, and engage with executives from major French corporations. The itinerary also includes meetings with experts, intellectuals, and representatives of the Vietnamese community in France.
