(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received visiting Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Takehiko Nakao in Hanoi on Wednesday.

The Prime Minister congratulated Nakao on his presidency of the ADB and expressed his pleasure at the development of Vietnam-ADB relations. Mr. Dung spoke highly of the ADB support in capital, policy consultation and especially the bank’s commitment of more than 13 billion USD to shore up Vietnam’s socio-economic development and poverty reduction. Mr. Dung affirmed Vietnam's  commitment to effectively using and disbursing ADB’s loans for its socio-economic development. President Nakao said that ADB is ready to assist Vietnam in developing the infrastructure of transportation, energy and healthcare sectors, as well as in restructuring of state-owned enterprises.
