(VOVworld) – A relic stele honoring armed forces in Kien Giang province was erected on Sunday to mark the 68th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, July 27th.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung asked the provincial Party committee, army and people to uphold the revolutionary tradition to develop the province and further care for revolutionary contributors. He called for more practical activities to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for national independence.
The relic site of the headquarters of armed forces of Rach Gia provincial army section was an important revolutionary base during the war from 1967 to 1969.
