Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Dung affirmed the government’s consistent policies of stabilizing the macro economy, controlling inflation while sustaining a reasonable growth rate, ensuring social welfare and security. He shared his views and dealt with many voters’ concerns, especially in regard to improving agricultural productivity, quality and competitiveness. Prime Minister Dung said: "The government has set up a project on agricultural restructuring. We’ll first rearrange the sector and invest more in science and technology to improve productivity and the sector’s efficiency by reducing input costs and increasing the added value to raise farmers’ incomes. Second, it’s very important to combine production and consumption. And third, we’ll try to reduce the relocation of laborers in the agricultural sector."

The Prime Minister added that the government had issued a number of mechanisms and policies to encourage all economic sectors to take part in, and effectively implement the project on agricultural restructuring.
