Prime Minister Phuc said: “We want the RoK, who has accomplished the ‘Miracle of the Han River’, to create a new miracle by taking the lead in cooperation with Vietnam. Vietnam hopes Korean enterprises will support President Moon Jae-in’s New Southern Policy, which will bring mutual benefits and contribute to Vietnam’s development. We are looking forward to 100 billion USD in bilateral trade next year and continued investment from the RoK in the future.”

At the business dialogues, former Prime Minister Han Duk-soo said he believes the sound bilateral relationship will be the foundation for greater Korean investment in Vietnam. Leaders of the Korean companies called Vietnam a key country in Korea’s New Southern Policy and said they want to expand operations in Vietnam in retail, automobiles, high-tech agriculture, and banking.
