(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has conferred the first calls Independence Order to the Party, administration, and people of Hung Yen province for their great contributions to national construction and defense.
Speaking at a ceremony to mark the 185th founding anniversary of Hung Yen and the 20th anniversary of its reestablishment on Sunday, the government leader praised the province’s patriotic and revolutionary tradition, its socio-economic development, high rate of undergraduates, and social order. He called on Hung Yen to work toward fast and sustainable development: “Hung Yen, which has favorable geographic and social conditions as a gateway to Hanoi, should maximize its advantages and overcome difficulties. The province should effectively use resources and comprehensively implement measures to undertake tasks and increase competitiveness to become a rich and civilized province.”
Early on Sunday, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc offered incense and laid wreath at the monument of Party General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh, and delivered gifts to heroic mother Nguyen Thi Thanh in Hung Yen City.
