At a ceremony in Hanoi on Thursday to announce the Awards for 2023, PM Chinh said the entries closely follow the policies and viewpoints on Party building, vividly reflect political activities of the Party, propose solutions to obstacles, encourage morale, and arouse the desire for rapid, sustainable development.
The Prime Minister called for efforts to highlight good people and good deeds; find new models and creative ways of doing things; prevent the deterioration of political ideology, ethics, and lifestyle, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation".

Journalists were urged to report on combating corruption, waste and negativity; refute the distortions and misinformation of hostile forces and reactionary organizations; and protect the Party's ideological foundation. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said: “To better fulfill future tasks, I hope and believe that the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award will capitalize on what it has achieved and go ahead with innovation and creativity to spread the Awards’ strong vitality and positive impact. This will contribute to building and rectifying the Party, developing a cleaner and stronger political system and contingent of cadres, and building and protecting the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam, toward the goals of prosperous people, a strong country, and democracy, equity and civilization.”
