Mr. Quang, who is also head of the Central Steering Committee on Judicial Reform, took part in a working session with the Vietnam Lawyers Association’s Central Committee in Hanoi on Friday. He congratulated their achievements and called on them to reform operation to focus on grassroots level: “I call on the Association to actively take part in creating policies and laws, studying legal science, and implementing judicial reform, administrative reform, legal consultation, mediation at grassroots level, resolution of non-State legal disputes, and crime prevention, particularly economic crime and corruption. Efforts should be made to boost free legal consultation and support for the poor, the ethnic minority people, policy beneficiaries, and other disadvantaged people.”

President Quang also urged the Vietnam Lawyers’ Association to hold congresses, popularize law and legal support, and expand cooperation with progressive law organizations and individuals across the world.
