But neither the US nor China has provided any details about the on-going negotiations in Beijing.

Earlier, US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross said the US and China could reach a good agreement on immediate trade issues, while an agreement on trade structure issues and implementation will be "more difficult". Ross said that this round of negotiations in Beijing will show whether trade disputes between the US and China can be resolved through negotiations. Meanwhile, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement saying Beijing and Washington are keen to cooperate on trade and China is willing to resolve all trade disputes between the two countries.
