lunar New Year and the 87th anniversary of the Communist Party of
Vietnam, President Tran Dai Quang extended his longevity wishes to former Party
General Secretary Do Muoi on his 100th birthday on Thursday.

The
President pledged to promote the Party and nation’s glorious tradition of unity
to overcome difficulties and achieve this year’s social economic development
targets. Former Party leader Do Muoi was born on February 2, 1917 and served as
the Party General Secretary from June 1991 to December 1997.
