(VOVworld) – President Tran Dai Quang stressed the need for forecasting situations correctly and identifying issues to be addressed in national construction and defense.

Mr. Quang made the statement at a symposium in Hanoi on Thursday which was jointly organized by the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. The meeting was set up to study and implement the resolution of the 12^th National Party Congress. President Quang urged participants to provide feedback with a scientific basis against hostile forces’ demands to depoliticize the armed forces. He underscored the need to clarify the goals and tasks set out by the 12^th National Party Congress related to the Party’s leadership towards national construction and defense. President Tran Dai Quang said:  "It’s necessary to review the implementation of the task of safeguarding national security, and to give related recommendations to the Party and State. Once the resolution is issued, it’s important to turn it into program of actions”.
