To mark the occasion, a seminar highlighting President Ton Duc Thang’s contributions to strengthening the Vietnamese working class and trade union took place in Ho Chi Minh City on Saturday. Professor Doctor Hoang Chi Bao, former member of the Central Theoretical Council, said: “President Ton Duc Thang was the leader of the Ba Son workers’ movement and a staunch communist who bravely struggled in the Con Dao prison and a communist soldier who effectively followed the Party and President Ho Chi Minh’s instructions of ensuring disciplines and principles of consensus and democracy within the Party.”
