At a meeting with Viengthong Siphandon, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court of Laos in Hanoi on Friday, President Phuc congratulated the courts of Vietnam and Laos for their effective cooperation, both at the Supreme People's Court and provincial People's Court levels.

He said that in order to serve national construction and development of each country, one of the important tasks is judicial reform. Vietnam has soon carried out judicial reform, taking the courts as the center, thereby building and strengthening the judiciary, especially the court system, Mr. Phuc said.

He expressed his belief that the cooperation between the two countries’ courts will bring benefits and make contributions to the development of each country as well as contribute to furthering the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
