During a reception in Hanoi on Wednesday evening, Mr. Quang said the establishment of a comprehensive partnership during the visit is an important step forward in bilateral ties and will lift Vietnam-Canada ties to a greater height, while opening up many new cooperation opportunities in security-defence, sustainable growth, and climate change response. The two countries will mark 45 years of diplomatic ties in 2018, an occasion for activities that affirm a new level of bilateral relations.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Vietnam is the leading trade partner of Canada and expressed his hope for more cooperation with Vietnam.
