(VOVWORLD) -President Nguyen Xuan Phuc has applauded the Vietnamese and ASEAN economists who he said have pioneered interacting and supporting each other and made essential contributions to the development of the ASEAN.

President Phuc on Friday received a delegation of ASEAN economists attending the 45th Annual Meeting of the Federation of ASEAN Economic Associations (FAEA) in Hanoi.

Speaking at the reception, the President affirmed that Vietnam always recognizes and appreciates the contributions of experts and economists in national development, especially in scientific research, consultation, and policy proposal.

ASEAN economists congratulated Vietnam on successfully hosting this year's FAEA-45 Conference, saying they are impressed with Vietnam's growth rate and learn a lot of valuable experiences from it.

They added that the Conference is an opportunity for economists to exchange and learn from each other's experiences, as well as discuss opportunities and challenges facing the region's post-COVID-19 economy.
