Meeting with Vice President Harris in Bangkok on Friday as part of the APEC Summit Week, President Phuc congratulated the US for taking on the role of host for APEC 2023, saying that Vietnam will actively coordinate with the US to ensure a successful APEC year.

Through the Vice President, he cordially invited US President Joe Biden to visit Vietnam soon. Harris said the US values and wants to further relations with Vietnam, bringing benefits to the two countries.
