The President emphasized that peace is both a goal and a prerequisite for building a stable, just, democratic, and prosperous future. He called for ceasefires, an end to violence, the protection of civilians, and unimpeded humanitarian access in conflict zones. He welcomed the recognition of the State of Palestine by many nations, urged urgent humanitarian assistance for the Palestinian people, called on the United States to lift its embargo on Cuba, and remove Cuba from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.
He urged nations to develop comprehensive strategies, invest heavily in research and development, train high-quality human resources, and build green technology infrastructure. President Luong Cuong reaffirmed Vietnam’s determination to achieve its strategic goals of becoming a developing country with modern industry and upper-middle income by 2030, a high-income country by 2045, fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals, and reaching net-zero emissions by 2050.
On this occasion, he extended an invitation to all nations to attend the signing ceremony of the UN Convention on Countering Cybercrime, to be held in Hanoi on October 25.
