(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese Embassy in Cuba and the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) on Monday laid floral wreaths at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument in Havana to mark the 124th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh. At the ceremony, Cuban journalist Marta Rojas, Vice President of Cuba-Vietnam Friendship Association, stressed that Cuban people would always remember the images of Ho Chi Minh and Cuban national hero Jose Marti, who helped establish friendly relations between the two peoples. Rojas urged young Cubans to learn more about Vietnam’s history and its great President Ho Chi Minh, to enrich the traditional friendship between Cuba and Vietnam.

Also on Monday, the organization of Solidarity with the People of Asia, Africa and Latin America held a seminar to mark the 124th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh and 119th birth anniversary of Cuban national hero Jose Marti which falls on May 19. Participants underscored the two outstanding figures’ contributions to the national liberation struggles of Cuba and Vietnam.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Mexico Monday laid floral wreaths at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument in Mexico City. General Secretary of the Mexican Labour Party and President of the Mexico-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group, Senator Anaya Gutierrez, visited Vietnamese doctors at the Central Hospital of Acupuncture in Monterrey city, Northern Nuevo Leon state. He hoped that the East Sea issues would be resolved through dialogue in line with international law, emphasizing his support for Vietnam’s sovereignty. He also expressed his hope that Mexico’s Labour Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam would deepen bilateral relations and enhance multi-faceted cooperation.
