(VOVworld) – The Vietnamese Embassy in France held a meeting of Vietnamese experts and overseas Vietnamese intellectuals in Paris on Sunday to promote a movement which increases their contributions to the homeland.

At the meeting, delegates said they would like to share professional and managerial skills with their peers in Vietnam, while promoting research, sci-tech, and education and training development in Vietnam. Addressing the gathering, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Duong Chi Dung appreciated the contributions and ability of Vietnamese intellectuals in France:“Vietnam’s integration strategy focuses not only on the economy. The government also focuses on stepping up comprehensive integration in politics, defense, culture, science, and technology. We hope that scientists and researchers who have been trained in France for many years will continue their contributions to the country, and pay attention to Vietnam’s strategic issues, particularly its current sovereignty challenges. Unless we develop sustainably, it will be hard to face those challenges.”
