(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc began an official visit to the Czech Republic on Tuesday at the invitation of Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Andrej Babis.

The visit is expected to boost bilateral cooperation, according to the Czech Parliament’s website on Sunday. The article said Vietnam and the Czech Republic have the potential for closer economic cooperation now that the European Union-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) is about to be finalized. President of the Czech–Vietnam Friendship Association Milos Kusy hailed PM Phuc’s visit and said the two sides may reach an agreement on Czech and Vietnamese visas to facilitate trade and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
