Czech media covers Vietnamese Prime Minister’s visit

(VOVWORLD) -In the lead-up to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s official visit to the Czech Republic from Tuesday to Thursday, Czech media highlighted economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Czech government website vlada.cz quoted the government office as saying Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis will host an official welcoming ceremony for his Vietnamese counterpart on Wednesday. The website said high on the agenda will be bilateral economic cooperation and the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement, which will help boost two-way trade.

The Czech parliament website parlamentnilisty.cz stressed on the Czech-Vietnam traditional friendship and their cooperation potential, especially in economics, trade, and investment. The article said cooperative ties between the two countries have been strengthened recently, through high-level visits, creating momentum for bilateral economic cooperation. It added the Czech Republic considers Vietnam a traditional and potential trade partner and a bridge to export Czech products to ASEAN markets. Vietnam is one of the 12 prioritized markets and the only ASEAN country listed in Czech national export strategy from 2012 to 2020.
