(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Wednesday called on closer coordination between the Government and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to deal with worker-related issues. Prime Minister Dung made the statement at a meeting on Wednesday with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in Hanoi. Dung urged for the organization of the Trade Union congresses at different levels, building laws and policies related to state employees and workers. The PM also asked for the launching of emulation campaigns, information exchanges and settlement of worker-related problems. He said:“I call on the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to work with relevant agencies to revolve labor dispute and strikes. When the workers’ legitimate rights are ensured, there will be no strike. It’s necessary to deal with the issues of troubled companies”.

Prime Minister Dung instructed the early implementation of a project on replicating models of capital provision for the poor’s self-employment.
