The 35ha centre is established to support and develop startup and innovation ecosystems in Vietnam. It is expected to house domestic and international innovation enterprises, laboratories, offices of major businesses, as well as leading experts and scientists.
“The NIC should become a rendezvous for intellectuals from around the world, regardless of nationality, ethnicity, race, and age, to create resources for development. To do that, appropriate mechanisms and policies are required,” said PM Chinh.
According to the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the NIC has created an innovation network involving nearly 1,600 experts and intellectuals who are working for leading tech firms and institutions worldwide.
The network has expanded to Germany, Australia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Chinese Taipei, Europe, and the US.
The same day, PM Chinh visited the Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) in Hanoi.
