The Prime Minister urged the Ministry of Industry and Trade to complete the dossier and report on the termination of cooperation on the investment and construction of the Ninh Thuan nuclear power plant 2 with the previous partner and be ready to negotiate in accordance with the Law on International Treaties and relevant laws.
The ministry was asked to develop negotiation plans on unresolved issues to discuss with partners on investment cooperation for the construction of the Ninh Thuan nuclear power plant 1. Any arising difficulties should be promptly reported to competent authorities to ensure completion in January this year, the PM said.
He requested the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to continue supporting the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), Vietnam National Energy and Industry Group (PVN), and relevant agencies in exchanging and negotiating with partners, providing timely guidance through diplomatic channels to address challenges in nuclear power plant projects.

The Ministry of Science and Technology was tasked with urgently completing and submitting to authorities the list of state secrets in the science and technology sector by January 2026, and developing national standards for nuclear power.
