PM suggests holding events to mark 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Sweden diplomatic ties

(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has asked the Foreign Ministries of both Vietnam and Sweden to organize activities, including visit exchanges, film festival, cultural week, and tourism, trade and investment promotion seminars to mark the 50th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties in 2019.

At a reception for Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallström in Hanoi on Wednesday, Mr. Phuc also called on Sweden to encourage the EU to soon sign and approve the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement to facilitate trade cooperation.  

Minister Wallström said Sweden wishes to be a good friend and trustworthy partner of Vietnam and to contribute to Vietnam’s development.
