PM suggests businesses of Japan’s Kansai region expand investment in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh suggested that the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region continue to call on businesses there to expand investment in Vietnam, focusing on science and technology, innovation, human resource training.

At a meeting on Monday in Hanoi with Nishimura Teiichi, President of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region, Prime Minister Chinh applauded the flourishing comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan, in which the Kansai region plays an important role in trade investment in Vietnam.

He urged the Association to strengthen tourism, cultural and people-to-people connections and continue to organize cherry blossom festivals in Vietnamese localities. The Prime Minister also asked the Kansai region government to continue to support 100,000 Vietnamese people there.

Mr. Nishimura Teiichi said the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in the Kansai region will continue to act as a bridge between the two countries.
