PM stresses shifting mindset from "agricultural production" to "agricultural economy"

(VOVWORLD) -Hai Duong province must renew its thinking, shifting from the mindset of “agricultural production” to "agricultural economy”, from "searching the market" to "researching the market" toward an “on demand agriculture”, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said at a ceremony to recognize Hai Duong as completing the building of new rural areas.

Addressing the event on Wednesday, Prime Minister Chinh acknowledged Hai Duong's important contribution to the national achievements in implementing the National Target Program on Building New Rural Areas.

He asked the province to continue to restructure the agricultural industry towards clean, organic agriculture, apply high technology, build concentrated raw material areas coupled with growing area codes, meet quality management and traceability standards, and strongly develop OCOP (one commune one product) items. 

The Prime Minister said he believes that with new determination and new aspirations, Hai Duong will continue to reap more achievements in socio-economic development and new rural building.
