(VOVworld)- Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Wednesday praised the customs sector’s contributions to national development and its modernization efforts towards international practices and commitments. At a meeting with the General Department of Customs on Wednesday, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung asked the sector to focus on modernizing customs and strengthening IT application. He urged the sector to facilitate enterprises’ import-export activities, strengthen statement management in customs and ensure economic security and national interest. The Prime Minister asked the sector to effectively implement ASEAN’s One-Door Mechanism and the national customs-one-door mechanism and develop the sector to the European and US standards.
