Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc receives Japanese Minster of Economic, Trade, and Industry Horishige Seko

At a meeting with Japanese Minster of Economic, Trade, and Industry Horishige Seko on Thursday, the Prime Minister asked Japan to facilitate the import of Vietnamese fruits including longans and lychees. He called on Japan to help Vietnam implement its Industrialization Strategy within the Vietnam-Japan Cooperation Framework until 2020 and Vision 2030. Phuc said Vietnam and Japan need to strengthen cooperation in energy areas including the construction of high-efficiency thermo power plants, energy saving, and building a smart power grid in Vietnam. Minister Seko said Japan wants to cooperate and share experience with Vietnam in SOE reform. He said Japan will provide an aid package to help Vietnam realize its industrialization strategy and will also set up working groups in thermo and renewable energy.
