PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc presents gifts to policy beneficiaries in Que Phu commune, Quang Nam province, July 23, 2018, on the occasion of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27).

Mr. Phuc made the remark at a ceremony in the central province of Quang Nam on Monday, commemorating 71 years of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day, on July 27.

“These sacrifices have contributed to national reunification, independence, freedom, and socialism building. I hope that martyrs’ relatives will continue to be role models in national construction and defense,” PM Phuc noted.

More than one million Vietnamese soldiers laid down their lives and 800,000 others were wounded during wars against foreign invaders.
