He asked authorities, business leaders, and people all over Vietnam to concentrate on the “twin task” of fighting epidemic and develop socio-economy. The Directive says everyone should not be complacent, neglectful, and irresponsible in the context of fast spreading Covid-19 epidemic.
The Prime Minister asks the State Bank of Vietnam to make sure that credit institutions meet demands for capital by businesses, enhance clients’ access to loans, and apply support measures like restructuring debt payment, considering exemption or reduction of interest rates, and reducing fees for clients affected by Covid-19 through the 10-billion USD credit package.
The Ministry of Finance is required to issue a decree on extending tax and land rental fee payment deadline for those who suffer from Covid-19 and propose measures to use a 1.3 billion USD support package to help businesses, production, and ensure social security.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade is tasked with reporting on demands for input materials, recommend measures to diversify supplies to ensure domestic production activities, and forecast market needs. The Ministry must seek way to boost exports, promote trade, and diversify export markets, capitalize on FTAs, and well prepare for the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement which will take effect in the middle of this year.
